1/9
A book whose heart is embedded in the elusive and transformative language of fairytale. Looking truth in the eye and gently embracing aversion, 'Woman' is interwoven with haunting secrets caught in the silencing webs of family loyalty. She is at once torn and cradled by her winter garden and given a liberation of voice.
This book has a soft cover and is hand bound in the style of a Victorian photography album. Images are inter-layered with tracing paper. On the last three pages the words ‘Silence, hear her voice’ appear.
The copy is wrapped in Indian Dekar paper. Representative of the woman’s skin. Presented in a custom box. The lid reverse is lined with an image of a wolf inspired by the fairy tale ‘Red Riding Hood’.
Enclosed in each box is a synopsis written by the woman herself. You will also find a single dried leaf from the woman’s winter garden inside each edition.
