Vomit is a literal translation from the German word 'kotzen'. It describes a physical discomfort in the stomach. Once ejected from the body one often feels a sense of relieve. 'Vomit' is a portrait of Vienna's history as well as my own emotional memories of the city.

These photographs are taken from my own art archive and family archive. To me they are not just physical objects but also carry an underlying charge of Austria’s history. Pages communicate by flowing into, and through the next page. Like double exposures of parallel existences, they merge into a continuous wave of flashbacks. Time and space become irrelevant but somehow are relevant. The front of each page is equally as important as the back of each page. Speaking to one another through the thin layers of opaque paper. And still I ask myself: “How can silence be so loud?”
